There's been a lot of press in the past couple years concerning payment processing. While huge breaches may not have shaken consumer confidence (the use of cards continues to far outpace the use of cash), the financial burden placed on everyone from the card issuers down to the merchant have many clamoring for reform. Currently, there are a number of trends concerning reform, associated security, and card processing in general that could affect point of sale (POS) VARs.
