New Ultra-compact LCM20 and LCM25 thermal printers provide the ideal cost-effective solution for mobile applications.

PrintekMobile announces the introduction of the LCM20 and LCM25 portable 2-inch thermal printers. Both the LCM20 and LCM25 are ideal for a wide range of 2-inch mobile applications such as mobile ticketing, utility billing, in-vehicle receipts, medical systems, taxis, and more. The printers feature a high-speed, high-quality fixed head thermal mechanism that delivers superior quality text and graphics. Both printers also feature a simple loading system that allows for quick and easy paper loads.

The LCM20 and LCM25 are small enough to be held in the hand and have a strong case design that eliminates hinge stress while still allowing for the drop-in insertion of a paper roll with up to 124' capacity.

There are a variety of power options available with the LCM series. Both models have a standard version with rechargeable battery. In addition, the LCM25 has optional versions for direct plug-in to an AC outlet, or hardwiring to a DC source.

The small size and weight (LCM20: 12 oz., LCM25: 16 oz.) of these printers makes them perfect for a variety of applications. Mounting options are available for both printers, and connectivity options include RS232 as well as IrDA and Bluetooth interfaces. The interfaces operate up to 57,600 baud, and have 20k bytes of data buffer.

PrintekMobile also offers a variety of thermal media for the LCM printers including linerless labels. Standard linerless label stock can be printed to any length, offering flexibility to suit individual requirements. Linerless labels are available in virtually any color, with or without perforation. Perforated label and paper stock is also available by special order, which features a black mark on the media, allowing the printer to sense and register the image within a given space (ideal for pre-printed tickets).

The LCM Series printers have multiple power saving modes, can be shutdown remotely, and the built-in voltage converter boasts an efficiency of up to 94% - a perfect match for low power battery applications. The optional DC printers benefit from a fully integrated DC/DC converter, capable of auto-switching for both 12V and 24V automotive applications.
