Brother Mobile Solutions Launches Partner Program

August 24, 2009

Brother Mobile Solutions, Inc. today announced the launch of its new “At your side” Mobile Solutions Channel Partner Program designed to enable its channel partners help mobile workforce customers become more productive when conducting service or sales in the field.

Brother Mobile Solutions, through organic growth and acquisition, has built a strong mobile and label printer business that is targeting end-users primarily within the key vertical markets of field service, public safety, route accounting and insurance claims and sales. The role of the Brother Mobile Solutions Channel Partner Program is to enable its channel partners to bolster their businesses that serve these vertical markets and provide meaningful, cost-effective solutions with quick ROI to customer organizations of all sizes.

“We have seen organizations significantly increase the use of mobile and wireless technology to better serve their customers and enable their workers in the field,” said David Crist, regional vice president of the Brother Mobile & Label Printer group (USA). “Brother saw an opportunity to package its impressive roster of mobile printer solutions, and educate customers in select vertical markets on how it can help improve field workforce productivity, resulting in improved service profitability and customer service.” The “At your side” Partner Program is exclusive for its esteemed channel partners and offers substantial benefits including access to unique and innovative mobile printing, scanning and label printer products, improved lead generation programs that are centrally managed and executed by Brother, limited time offer of free demo products and the opportunity for its partners to expand their business into high-growth select vertical markets.

Brother recently sponsored a study titled “Trends in Mobile Field Service: Empowering your Field Technicians to Deliver Better, Faster Service,” published by the Aberdeen Group, a Harte-Hanks Company (NYSE:HHS). The report concluded that “Best-in-Class” organizations saw a 22% boost in workforce productivity; a 17% increase in service profitability; and a 13% decrease in overtime costs by implementing mobile solutions and tools in the field. The report also stated that 27% of these same “Best-in-Class” firms had focused specifically on mobile printing (i.e. invoices, receipts, etc.) to further enhance their business processes.

“Service organizations are always looking to equip their field technicians with the right tools and information to help balance cost and effectively manage customer relations,” states Sumair Dutta, Senior Research Analyst at the Aberdeen Group. “Therefore it is not surprising that nearly a third of leading service companies polled in the study are actively evaluating mobile printing solutions for their field workers.”

Brother offers a full range of high-quality mobile printers and labelers to bolster productivity and efficiencies in the field or anywhere mobile printing solutions are needed. Among its offerings are the PocketJet® full-page mobile printers, MPrint™ small-format mobile printers, P-Touch® and DS Mobile® scanners.
