Chloride Unveils Advanced Touchscreen System for UPS
April 29, 2009
Chloride North America, a subsidiary of Chloride Group PLC, has launched an advanced, networkable touchscreen system metering display. Designed to complement Chloride's scalable multimodule UPS architecture, the 12.1" TFT industrial-grade color LCD combines full touchscreen functionality with instant access to overall system and module conditions and status. This device enhances the user's experience and puts critical data at their finger tips - on the local screen or via remote devices.
The full-color graphical user interface presented by the Chloride LCD is an improvement over traditional metering displays, thanks to an animated one-line mimic (AOM) diagram and contemporary dashboard-style indicators. At a glance, system managers can view major system values and conditions, such as system load, metered voltages, phase load balance, module level alerts, and breaker status. Simple touchscreen navigation provides access to event, data and service logs for a detailed site history. In addition, an on-board help system aids the user to quickly master this tool.
The embedded computer that drives the touchscreen display alerts users by email and allows screen content to be viewed remotely from any web browser. Also available is the ability to integrate the touchscreen with Building Monitoring Systems via MODBUS RTU or MODBUS TCP.
Chloride's simple and easy paralleling system gives users a choice of three installation options:
