Level Platforms Expands Integration With CA ARCserve Software To Enhance MSP Service Offerings
November 8, 2010
LPI Level Platforms Inc., a global leader in remote monitoring and management software for solution and managed service providers (MSPs), recently announced it has integrated its flagship Managed Workplace product with the CA ARCserve data protection technology from CA Technologies. The integration will enable MSPs to provide their customers with robust remote management services that encompass both infrastructure monitoring and policy-based data protection—both of which are essential for optimizing business performance and mitigating business risk at today's IT-dependent organizations.
"Managing backup and recovery is a core element of most MSP offerings and ARCserve has long been a leader in the market," said Rino Marinelli, Director of Vendor Alliances at Level Platforms. "With this announcement, we allow MSPs with CA ARCserve's latest technologies to take full advantage of the opportunity."
Integration with CA ARCserve D2D allows MSPs using Managed Workplace to perform real-time monitoring of file system snapshots and restores, receive alert notifications of system snapshot or restore failures, and provide continuous monitoring of file system level read and write failures. Integration with CA ARCserve Replication and CA ARCserve High Availability will enable MSPs to offer a wide range of new services for customers' critical servers, applications and data—including continuous data protection, high availability, server and application monitoring, and failover and hosting services for offsite/Cloud storage and disaster recovery.
Today's announcement expands a relationship between the two companies which began in 2004 with the integration of Managed Workplace and CA ARCserve Backup, and extends Level Platforms' comprehensive support for leading backup and recovery products used by MSPs to assist their small and midsized customers (SMBs).
"CA Technologies long-standing relationship with Level Platforms continues to benefit end-user organizations and channel partners alike, with a value proposition that is particularly compelling for MSPs," said John LaCorte, senior director of MSP Strategy, at CA Technologies. "This most recent integration is especially significant, because it comes at a time when pressures on SMB resources are driving greater demand for economical remote management services."
