Image Integration Systems And OPEX Announce Partnership
Image Integration Systems (IIS), provider of the DocuSphere solution for accounts payable automation, announced recently that it has entered into a cooperative partner agreement with OPEX Corporation, a recognized global technology leader in high-speed mailroom automation and document imaging.
IIS provides complete solutions for business process management (BPM) including workflow, document management and enterprise resource planning (ERP) integration, specializing in accounts payable automation for Oracle E-Business Suite, JD Edwards, and SAP solutions. OPEX is first in efficient document imaging. Both companies offer products that reduce manual steps, improve business efficiency and lower transactional costs. Together, OPEX and IIS offer a combined solution that goes from incoming envelope to electronic routing to a ready to pay transaction – offering visibility to invoice documents from the moment they enter the organization, and allowing for improved process efficiencies and a lower average cost per invoice.
Opening and prepping documents by hand is costly and inefficient, as is manual data entry, paper-based routing and hunting for misplaced documents. With the OPEX solution, one operator can remove documents from envelopes or file folders and scan in a single-touch. This knocks out those manually intensive document prep steps. Once the documents have been scanned the images are passed into the DocuSphere system, where they are electronically routed, data is lifted without the need for templates and invoice data is processed virtually "hands-free" incorporating tight integration with your existing ERP system.
"In today's cost-conscious environment, there is a lot of pressure to squeeze efficiency out of every step of the process from the moment a business document arrives in the mail," said Mark Smith, Director of Strategic Alliances at OPEX. "We are very happy to be working with the folks at IIS to offer an integrated AP automation solution from the point of entry as we continue to educate the document capture market about our unique approach to scanning."
"In order to optimize the benefits of DocuSphere's Content Management and Workflow, there is an increasing need for high performance scanning solutions. This partnership will provide our customers with best-of-breed document capture for our All-in-One AP Automation and other BPM solutions," said Ron Kelley, Principal and VP of Business Development with Image Integration Systems. "We're looking forward to sharing this advanced scanning capability with our installed clients and new prospects."
