Legally Speaking: Employee Misclassification

The financial crisis affecting the federal and state governments is not a secret. Political entities are looking to raise revenue by closer examination of the collection of existing taxes. The heads of the Department of Labor, Internal Revenue Service and eleven state agencies signed on September 19th an agreement to coordinate their efforts to fight employee misclassification.
