A multi-year, multi-phase, and multi-million dollar project to revamp the government of Canada's 40-year-old pension system for the Canada's largest payroll and pension administrator yielded tremendous results. Ultimately, the pension modernization project would cover the processing of more than 550,000 documents per year including at least 500 different form types entering the system from multiple channels, including paper, fax, and electronic documents. "Track and trace" of work coming into the processing site was key to the project's success, as was strict adherence to predefined SLAs (service level agreements).
