In large information technology deployments, UPS systems are sometimes an afterthought. These systems, which provide backup power for computers and other equipment in the case of an outage, play an important role in protection.
UPS solutions have evolved to include advanced power management capabilities to protect hardware and data and ensure 24/7 network availability. "UPS with automatic voltage regulation [AVR] will provide clean, consistent power during normal operating conditions by regulating the output power," says Jonah Cagley, director of marketing at CyberPower Systems. "The life of electronic equipment can be significantly extended."
