What are some ways VARs can upsell restaurants on security?

One would be safe to say that most owners rely on their VARs to maintain system integrity, including PCI compliance to avoid a breach. By identifying and sharing potential security breaches in a customer's payment processing system, VARs can upsell restaurants on the security that is needed most.

Today, VARs can offer a variety of proven secure payment solutions for credit/debit card payment processing, but unfortunately that is usually after the card data is already entered in to the POS software.

What is not well-protected today is the "tableside security gap." This is the interface between the customer and the server before the card information is entered into the secure POS system. Without a solution for the "tableside security gap," all the existing POS software and hardware security features are easily preempted.

There is a growing opportunity for VARs to upsell current accounts by introducing an affordable solution to the "tableside security gap."
