Having spent nearly 20 years in the information technology business, I have looked at hundreds, if not thousands, of sales resumes. And, I have sat in front of many slime-balls pitching why they should come to work for my IT company. In some cases, I have even been won over by the only actual sale they ever made—when they "sold" me on the idea that my company had to have them on our sales force. During this search process, I have learned much about what I want in a sales professional, and the majority of this knowledge came directly from learning what I did not want.
