Wireless Time & Attendance Terminal Introduced At NRF

Ellington, CT - Accu-Time Systems (ATS) announced the introduction of its new Airtime™ wireless module. Once installed in the company’s workforce management terminals Airtime will enable them to communicate with a host server anywhere in the world via cellular data networks.

The company exhibited an Airtime enabled ATS Maximus terminal at the National Retail Federation’s annual meeting in New York City. The terminal also included the company’s innovative new AccuTouch fingerscan reader. According to Larry Dawson, Accu-Time Systems’ Vice President of Marketing, “Airtime gives our channel partners and end users a completely new way to collect workforce management data. They can place the terminal essentially anywhere they want as long as there is a cellular signal in the area. This is a perfect solution for buildings with no Ethernet accessibility, for remote operations like construction sites and field offices, fragmented enterprises with multiple locations, and for small businesses that want a fast and easy setup without worrying about network connectivity.”

Airtime can be installed in any new or existing ATS Prodigy, Maximus, or Optimus terminal. The module does not change the functionality of a terminal. The patent pending Airtime technology will allow the company’s terminals to transmit via a cellular network all the same data they currently do over an Ethernet connection, including biometric templates, employee timesheets, vacation schedules, and all other employee self-service features. ATS charges a low monthly subscription rate for wireless network access, module management, and system administration.
