DVTEL Unveils Network Video Recorder Platform

DVTEL introduced its Horizon network video recorder (NVR) platform. Its technology and features were chosen for smaller surveillance deployments. Larger systems of 100 cameras or more can be managed by connecting a number of Horizon NVRs in parallel. The NVR is ONVIF (Open Network Video Interface Forum) Profile S-compliant. It is available as a basic NVR server, an NVR RAID server, or an NVR workstation, each preloaded with Horizon video management software. Several Horizon systems can be monitored from a single command center. In addition, it integrates easily with a variety of third-party edge devices and is compatible with DVTEL Quasar cameras and other DVTEL camera families.

IQinVision Presents New Dome Cameras

IQinVision released the next generation of its IQeye Alliance-mx HD megapixel series of cameras. Updates include increased processing power to run analytics or video management system (VMS) applications at the edge, as well as WDR (wide dynamic range), built-in infrared illumination, on-camera storage, two-way audio, and true day/night capability. The cameras are both ONVIF (Open Network Video Interface Forum)- and PSIA (Physical Security Interoperability Alliance)- compliant, and they are available with support for HD720p, HD1080p, and 3MP resolutions. A new model with 5MP resolution is available this month.

Linksys Adds IP Camera Line, NVR For SMB Market

Linksys has added a line of indoor and outdoor IP surveillance cameras, as well as a network video recorder (NVR), to provide resellers with additional options for SMBs. The four 1080p IP surveillance cameras — available in dome and bullet options — feature night vision, motion detection, alarm notification, weatherproof and vandal-proof housings, remote access, and zoom, pan, and tilt features. Wide-angle view and wide dynamic range (WDR) are available with a firmware upgrade. Video Surveillance Manager software is included, that features user, profile, and event management capabilities. The NVR, developed for use with the Linksys surveillance cameras, provides up to 8 TB of storage and records up to 8 video feeds simultaneously.

Ocularis Provides 64-Bit Recording Across All Models

OnSSI now offers 64-bit recording technology in every version of its Ocularis Video Management System (VMS). This technology enables Ocularis v3.8 to provide better integration for Ocularis PS with third-party physical security systems to receive events and alerts. Ocularis IS operates faster with enhanced system performance, and Ocularis CS can now accommodate an unlimited number of cameras with faster performance.

The release supports a number of new encoders, including the Axis M7016 and P7216, offering 16-channel encoder options to analog customers.
