Brivo Debuts OnAir Version 10.11
Brivo Systems announces the company’s release of Brivo OnAir version 10.11, featuring an updated user interface. “Brivo OnAir” is the new brand name for the former Brivo ACS WebService cloud-based access control management solution. The new version has a video tab that gives access to recorded and live video. It also has search capability that provides a comprehensive view of events on a timeline display, with events represented by visual cues such as colors or icons. The system landing page includes shortcuts for common operations, like creating a new user, changing passwords, and searching video.
Axis Introduces New Video Encoders
Axis Communications has introduced two video encoders developed for small- to medium-sized surveillance installations. AXIS M7016 offers full frame rate, and AXIS P7216 features audio and I/O ports and can be used with fiber optics. The encoders use only a single network port and include four micro SD card slots supporting up to 64 GB. They offer simultaneous H.264 and motion JPEG streams. The AXIS P7216 has a separate Ethernet service port to allow direct connection for maintenance and configuration, while its small form-factor pluggable (SFP) slot offers network redundancy by automatically switching traffic over to the Ethernet port if the SFP module fails. The encoders are supported by AXIS solutions including video management, video surveillance, video hosting, and open network video interface forum (ONVIF) for system integration.
VideoIQ Releases Analytics Appliance
VideoIQ released the Rialto R-Series appliance. It is a 1U rack-mount analytics appliance that analyzes and records up to 16 security cameras per unit. The R-Series is available in IP, analog, or hybrid base models and supports standard analog — phase alternating line (PAL) or National Television Systems Committee (NTSC) cameras — or IP cameras utilizing H.264 video streamed across real time streaming protocol (RTSP). In addition, the R-Series includes two, 1 TB hard disk drives for local storage. The two hard drives can be configured as a redundant array of independent disks (RAID) 1 — a mirrored set of data on the two disks — and the user can also specify the amount of storage to be allocated to each camera in the R-Series device.
