D-Link Introduces New Line Of Surveillance Cameras

D-Link recently introduced a new line of surveillance cameras starting with the Vigilance Full HD Outdoor Dome Network Camera (DCS-4602EV) and the Vigilance HD Outdoor Mini Bullet Network Camera (DCS-4701E). The DCS-4602EV and DCS-4701E are available at an estimated street price of $185 each.

The Vigilance DCS-4602EV is an indoor/outdoor dome camera offering full HD 1920 x 1080 resolution, integrated infrared illumination for seeing in complete darkness, and a rugged housing that is rated for both weather and vandal resistance. Additional features include 3D noise filtering for enhanced low light performance and PoE (Power over Ethernet), allowing for single cable installation.

The Vigilance DCS-4701E is an indoor/outdoor mini bullet camera that offers HD 1280 x 720 resolution, integrated infrared illumination, and an integrated cable management bracket for additional protection against vandalism. Other features include LowLight+ technology that increases low light performance.

Brivo Unveils Solution To Open Doors Using Smartphones

Brivo recently announced the release of Brivo Mobile Pass, a digital credential solution that lets users unlock doors with their smartphones. With this enhancement to the existing Brivo OnAir access control system, customers can now immediately distribute mobile credentials to their entire user population without any on-premises equipment changes.

Available now on both iOS and Android, Brivo’s Mobile Pass Application enables access control via smartphones without having to install new door readers. Brivo Mobile Pass serves as a mobile complement to physical key cards and readers, and it is fully interoperable with existing door reader technologies.

Brivo’s previously released Brivo OnAir Mobile Application already provides administrators full accessibility to manage their system from smartphones. Now with Brivo Mobile Pass, all users can open doors using their smartphones.

Genetec Announces New Security Appliance

Genetec recently unveiled its new SV-16v3 network security appliance, expected to be available before end of 2015. The latest addition in the Genetec SV family of network security appliance is powered by an Intel Core i3 processor and will also offer connectivity to the Genetec Cloud Archives Service for extended video retention and reduced storage investment.

With support for the Security Center Mobile and Web Client, the SV-16v3 network security appliance provides real-time notifications, alarm management, and video viewing within the Security Center from any location. The pre-installed SV Control Panel offers a streamlined step-by-step set-up and configuration wizard for quick deployment. An automatic update tool will assure the latest software versions are installed as soon as the system is set up.
