Accidents Happen; CognitiveTPG's New Spill Guard And Spill Warranty Protect Against Accidents To Ensure Continuous Printing On A798 And A799 POS Printers

CognitiveTPG is pleased to introduce a new accessory designed to provide their A798 and A799 receipt printers with an added level of protection from environmental hazards.  The easy to install spill guard retails for $20 and offers supplementary defense against daily spills and splashes that are particularly inherent to the hospitality food service industry.

CognitiveTPG POS printers are designed with built-in internal and external dams and gutters to prevent damage to the print mechanism.  The new spill guard accessory complements these features to provide added protection and ensure continuous printing even in the most challenging POS environment.  And the spill guard’s low profile means the printer maintains its same compact height, while the translucent cover allows for visual confirmation of the printed receipt and printer status.

According to CognitiveTPG Product Manager, Roman Dziaba “The spill guard has gone through rigorous testing.  It was exposed to environments that not even the busiest kitchen would endure, and independent testing confirmed it meets IPX2 water ingress standards.”

“Restaurant, fast casual, and fast food environments suffer more damage to their printers than most, typically as the result of accidental spills.  Accident or not, we don’t want our customers’ operations compromised or employees dismissed if such occurrences can be mitigated through better design,” commented Angela Mansfield-Swanson, CognitiveTPG Marketing Director. “The CognitiveTPG spill guard is the most economical and effective solution for uninterrupted receipt printing.  And we back that statement with a 2-year warranty against spill damage on factory installed units on both the A798 and the A799.”

The CognitiveTPG spill guard is available through its value added distributors.  It can be purchased as a separate accessory or as a pre-installed attachment to A798 and A799 printers.

A video introduction to the spill guard and a demonstration of the simple installation process can be found at www.cognitivetpg.com/spillguard. CognitiveTPG will also be giving live demonstrations of the spill guard in action at Booth #9452 at the National Restaurant Association Expo, May 18-21, 2013 in Chicago.
