ASIS 2015 Scheduled To Kick Off On Sept. 28

The ASIS International 61st Annual Seminar and Exhibits (ASIS 2015) will bring 20,000 security professionals from both the operational and cybersecurity disciplines together for the security conference and trade show Sept. 28 to Oct. 1, in Anaheim, CA.

The event covers current and emerging issues, current standards, and industry best practices spanning all industry sectors. Subject matter experts and thought leaders will present more than 200 operational and information security education sessions covering a range of issues “ripped from the headlines,” such as a common sense approach to school security, cybersecurity, and evolving body-worn camera technology.

The agenda includes certification reviews that present security concepts tested on the Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Professional Certified Investigator (PCI), and Physical Security Professional (PSP) exams.

ASIS also features a security marketplace, with more than 600 exhibitors demonstrating products and service innovations. There will also be numerous networking opportunities including receptions, networking luncheons, a golf tournament, and a benefit motorcycle ride.

Keynote topics include cybersecurity and counterterrorism, by Former Commissioner of the New York City Police Department Raymond W. Kelly; a dissection of global political hot spots and their repercussions for Americans, by Former Director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and Former Director of the National Security Agency, retired General Michael Hayden; and a closing luncheon address by retired General James Mattis, Former Commander of the United States Joint Forces Command, who will share his lessons on leadership and guidance.
