AVG Opens Technical Support Centers for US Small Business Channel Partners
New locations central to North American small business growth strategy
AMSTERDAM & SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jul. 23, 2012-- AVG Technologies (NYSE: AVG), a leading provider of Internet and mobile security, today announced the opening of new technical support centers in the Charlotte, N.C. area and in Fort Walton Beach, Fla. The new facilities will play a key part in AVG’s strategy for growing its small business customer base in North America.
The new U.S.-based support centers will provide in-country support for AVG’s network of North American channel partners. The initiative involves some of AVG’s international-based support resources to give North American channel partners the benefit of technical expertise and advice from locally trained U.S. professionals. The Florida operation is located in the former offices of BSecure, a Software-as-a-Service content filtering and family safety provider acquired by AVG last year while the North Carolina offices are home to AVG’s channel sales teams.
