FalconStor Teams With Avnet Embedded

Avnet Embedded, a division of Avnet Electronics Marketing Americas, is now providing worldwide integration and order fulfillment of FalconStor Software solutions. Avnet Embedded will support FalconStor’s new partnership with IBM to bundle FalconStor Virtual Tape Library (VTL) with deduplication on IBM servers and storage devices. In addition, Avnet Embedded will take over the integration and testing of FalconStor’s product suite — including FalconStor Network Storage Server (NSS), FalconStor Continuous Data Protector (CDP), and FalconStor VTL — on Dell appliances worldwide. Avnet will fulfill orders for FalconStor solutions from its worldwide integration centers to service the Americas, Europe, and Asia-Pacific.

Datto Adds New VP Of Business Development

Rob Rae is Datto’s new VP of business development. He will work directly with Datto partners and help educate them on how to use Datto products and services to earn profit and grow their businesses. He has over 20 years of B2B experience with IT hardware and software sales. He spent the last six years at Level Platforms, working with partners to deploy managed services offerings. All of Rae’s industry experience has been working with channel-focused organizations and working directly with channel VARs and solutions providers.

StorageCraft Upgrades Disaster Recovery Software

StorageCraft has released ShadowProtect IT Edition 5. This latest addition to this line of disaster recovery products has several new features, including support for Windows Server 2012 and Windows 8, and disk copy that can capture everything on a system including OS, applications, and data. ShadowProtect serves an unlimited number of servers, desktops, and laptops during a subscription period and does not require the installation of any software. It allows administrators to recover data anywhere, at any time, enabling a business to continue operations following a disaster. Users can migrate backup images to new systems (physical or virtual) with StorageCraft Hardware Independent Restore technology.
