The Channel Transitions VAR/MSP Executive Conference, powered by Business Solutions magazine, is an education and networking conference designed to help VAR/MSP executives learn how to best implement and manage the as-a-Service model. At the first “Channel Transitions” conference on October 7, 2013 at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia, PA, attendees learned options for funding the transition to the new business model, strategies for pricing and bundling, approaches to marketing and overcoming customer objections, models for compensating sales and technology staff, and principles for hiring, training, and retaining a sales force.

Veteran MSP John Rutkowski, CEO of BOLDER Designs (speaking on behalf of AVG Managed Workplace), and Mercury executives gave keynotes, while two VAR/MSP panels offered advice and answered questions from attendees. The event also included product demonstrations, vendor workshops, and networking.
