CompTIA Announces Agenda For ChannelCon Online

Virtual event will spotlight select ChannelCon content including keynotes and Tracks4Techs

For the second year in a row, virtual audiences can gain real-time access to CompTIA ChannelCon, the premier training and partnering event for the IT channel produced annually by CompTIA, through ChannelCon Online.

Scheduled for Aug. 3-5 in Chicago, ChannelCon 2015 “Minds in Motion” will feature two full days of premier vendor-neutral channel training and education for technology solution providers, channel executives, technical IT professionals and anyone else doing business in the IT channel.

“Online education and training, as well as virtual events are a great way to extend your reach and add business value to those companies and individuals who simply can’t make the date or be there in person,” said Kelly Ricker, senior vice president, events and education, CompTIA. “Last year, CompTIA ChannelCon drew more than 1,700 on-site and virtual attendees. We’re looking forward to seeing that number increase in 2015.”

ChannelCon Online begins at 8:45 a.m. (CST) on Tuesday, Aug. 4. First-day highlights include the state of the industry speech by Todd Thibodeaux, president and CEO, CompTIA; and the opening keynote by Adam Alter, author of the New York Times bestseller, Drunk Tank Pink: And Other Unexpected Forces That Shape How We Think, Feel, and Behave.

Also on Tuesday, CompTIA will begin its Track4Techs educational programming. Developed specifically for the IT pro community, the Track4Techs sessions will explore how big data, cloud computing, cyber security, mobility and other innovations are impacting their jobs. All Track4Techs sessions qualify for continuing education unit (CEU) credit for CompTIA certification renewal.

ChannelCon Online will resume at 8:45 a.m. (CST) on Wednesday, Aug. 5 with a thought leaders’ keynote by Kevin Murai, president and CEO, SYNNEX Corporation.

Track4Techs and other channel-focused programming will follow the keynote.

ChannelCon attendees can access myChannelCon to network with other attendees whether they’re on site in Chicago or attending the virtual conference.
