CompTIA Annual Member Meeting Set For April 1-3 In San Diego

Registration open for gathering of IT channel leaders; keynote speaker announced

CompTIA, the leading non-profit association for the information technology (IT) industry, recently announced  its 2014 Annual Member Meeting will be held April 1-3 in San Diego.

Registration is now open for the 2014 event, to be held at the Rancho Bernardo Inn in San Diego. The annual gathering brings together hundreds of top executives from all corners of the IT industry for collaborative strategic planning and networking.

“We provide a neutral forum where industry leaders can discuss the hottest topics and biggest issues affecting the IT channel and develop actionable initiatives to help advance the industry,” said Kelly Ricker, senior vice president, events and education, CompTIA.

The meeting will include community forums on cloud computing, IT security, managed IT services, managed print services, mobility, women in IT and tech convergence.

“The boundary lines between technology products and solutions continue to blur, so this year we’re encouraging attendees to step out of their comfort zones and explore technologies and trends they may not be as familiar with,” Ricker added.

CompTIA also recently announced  that Todd Henry, author of Die Empty: Unleash Your Best Work Every Day and The Accidental Creative, will lead an interactive keynote session at the Annual Member Meeting on Wednesday, April 2.

Henry, founder of Accidental Creative, a company that helps creative people and teams generate brilliant ideas, will speak on “Passion, Collaboration and Brilliant Work.” He’ll engage the audience in several thought-provoking activities, all designed to help them identify personal and organizational passion areas and create a framework for applying them in a highly collaborative, results-driven environment.
