During CompTIA Breakaway 2011, I often get the chance to bookmark new technologies and their adoption curve. Two years ago I first sat down with Xerox to talk about managed print, and at this year's event, I had the chance to do so again, meeting with VP of Field and Sales Operations, Michael McCann. He was joined by VAR Michael Trevisan, owner of Atlantic Office and Laser Products.

As that business name might imply, Trevisan has his roots deep in dealing office equipment, but has found that the move to managed print was well worth his time and effort. He and McCann stressed that the managed print product (PagePack 3.0) has matured and now provides various levels of participation for most VARs. Once you get it under your belt, you might be surprised at the outcome. "We have seen steady 30% growth since we got onboard in 2006," says Trevisan. McCann says the next step for Xerox managed print is pulling more and more capabilities down through the Xerox Corp. to offer enterprise-class solutions through the PagePack product.

Listen to McCann and Trevisan explain the value of managed print services.
