CompTIA Communities Ready To Share Best Practices And Business Challenges At ChannelCon 2016

CompTIA, the nonprofit association for the technology industry, recently announced seven of its member communities will host interactive presentations, panel discussions and break-out sessions at CompTIA ChannelCon 2016, “Breaking Boundaries” scheduled for Aug. 1-3 at the Diplomat Resort & Spa in Hollywood, Fla.

“The community meetings at ChannelCon are an important part of our programming as they give IT solution providers, vendors, distributors, consultants and thought leaders a platform for discussing the issues, trends and opportunities facing the industry and the customers they serve,” said Kelly Ricker, senior vice president, events and education, CompTIA.

Some of the community sessions will focus on business-related topics, from creating amazing customer experiences to cultivating fans of your managed services business. Several tech-focused sessions are also planned, including the ubiquitous nature of security and leveraging big data and business intelligence in managed print services.

Additionally, ChannelCon attendees looking to up their game in the cloud services market won’t want to miss “Is Your Cloud Offering Good Enough?” and “Crowdsourcing Cloud Insights,” featuring interactive discussions and an examination of trends and ideas gathered from CompTIA Cloud Community members.

For attendees interested in increasing gender diversity in the workplace, “Creating a Culture that Builds Confidence” will address how women and men can gain the confidence they need to succeed.

Young professionals will want to attend “Just Who Are You Anyway?” which will examine personality and leadership and provide insights on initiating a successful mentorship and developing strong working relationships with colleagues.

“One of the most important aspects of a CompTIA membership is the opportunity to communicate, collaborate and be a part of the collective influence within the CompTIA member communities,” said Jim Hamilton, vice president, member communities, CompTIA. “Together, our communities have a successful track record for driving positive change within the IT channel and the technology industry as a whole, and we are excited to have the opportunity to highlight their accomplishments, experiences and expertise at ChannelCon 2016.”

CompTIA communities to be featured during ChannelCon include Advancing Women in IT, Cloud, Future Leaders, IT Security, IT Services & Support, Managed Services and Managed Print Services. Members of CompTIA’s international communities including the ANZ IT Channel, Canadian IT Business and UK Channel will also be onsite during the event.
