CompTIA ChannelCon 2015 Saw Record-Setting Run

Do you know someone who is a future leader in the IT industry? You can nominate promising young IT professionals for CompTIA’s annual ChannelChangers Awards, now through June 22.

Nominees must be between the ages of 23 and 29 years as of August 2015, with at least two years in the IT industry, as well as being employed by a CompTIA member company.

Who can nominate someone? CompTIA invites nominations from solutions providers, vendors, distributors, journalists and analysts.

The criteria for the award is described as “young professionals who are making their mark within a CompTIA member company, having shown success or originality as an entrepreneur, or have made an industry impact in some other demonstrable way.”

Those nominated will be evaluated by a CompTIA committee. “As part of the selection process, each nominee will be asked to identify some of the challenges facing our industry and demonstrate their creativity and strategic thinking by offering an approach to combat these challenges,” says Kelly Ricker, senior vice president of events and education at CompTIA. “They’ll also need to share with the committee why they joined the IT industry.”

The 2015 ChannelChangers will be honored at ChannelCon 2015, the “premier networking event for today’s leading and emerging IT vendors, distributors and channel partners.” The event is set to be held August 3-5 at the Hilton Chicago in downtown Chicago.
