Source: BlueStar, Inc.The Honeywell Marathon is a field computer designed to assist mobile workers in the successful execution of every critical step of their day. It packs all the mission-critical features and connectivity demanded by mobile workers into an IP65-rated fully-rugged design.
The Marathon field computer weighs in at 2.2 pounds and is 1.3” thick. The device is easy to maneuver and easily connections from any distance with a Gobi™ WWAN radio, Summit 802.11 a/b/g/n and Bluetooth® wireless connectivity. It utilizes an Atom processor running a full Microsoft® Windows® XP or Windows® 7 operating system.
The Marathon field computer is designed to replace multiple devices, eliminating the cost of purchasing a laptop or desktop computer and a hand-held device. It can replace a laptop or desktop when used with desk dock and provides data capture functionality and ergonomics of a hand-held device when undocked. It can survive a 4’ drop and utilizes a solid state mass storage drive.
This device has 3.75G WWAN, GPS, and WLAN along with versatile data capture with a full QWERTY keypad, touchscreen, biometric mouse, camera, and available 2D imager. It features a 7” touchscreen to allow viewing of schematics, detailed graphics, performance dashboard, or field-intensive forms and warehouse management screens. The screen is designed to perform well in any lighting condition including the brightest sunlight.
