At this year’s Retail Solutions Providers Association (RSPA) RetailNOW , August 3-6 in Orlando, FL, Dennis Snow will be the keynote speaker during the first day of events. Snow, president of Snow and Associates, consults with organizations around the world about their specific customer service goals. His speech will detail creating a world-class service organization, something he mastered during his 20 years working with the Walt Disney World Company.

In an interview with Unitiv, Snow commented on what companies can learn from Disney: “While their business is fantasy and the business is magic … they have the same challenges and the same issues that most organizations have. What I have found resonates with organizations that I work with, whether it’s speaking or consulting, is the fact that Disney focuses in on just a handful of principles around service, but those things are non-negotiable.”

In Snow’s keynote speech, sponsored by Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions, he will address the importance of careful orchestration when delivering the best customer service experience possible, including the key points that retail solutions providers should focus on when dealing with their customers, elevating that experience from ordinary to extraordinary, and ways to make excellent customer service business as usual.

The event will also include panel discussions, including “The View from the Top” leadership panel and the “State of the Point of Sale Market.” There are also numerous education sessions on topics including the future of payments, business automation, driving mobile commerce with payment solutions, generating revenue with PCI 3.0, loyalty program design, the Internet of Things, transitioning to EMV, and protecting your clients from data breaches.

Conference goers can also find a selection of community meetings and luncheons available on Day 1, including invitation-only events, such as the Canadian and W2W Community Meetings, and the Mobile Community Meeting and STS Community Event, both of which are open to all attendees.

RetailNOW will also provide ample networking opportunities, including the new member and welcome receptions Sunday evening, and an RSPA Awards cocktail reception on Tuesday.

This year’s exhibit hall has been expanded to include 170 booths and eight hours of exhibit time and includes a networking lunch.
