Swordphish Beta Test is now open for free public adoption.

Easy Solutions announced a new, free beta test is now active for Swordphish, a machine learning tool that will predictively score phishing and malware risks without the use of blacklists. Among those who have signed up for the trial are major email and search engine providers, email security vendors, email marketing providers and Big 5 consulting firms.

Phishing continues to be a huge problem for these organizations. In a recent report, The Anti-Phishing Working Group (APWG) observed more phishing attacks in the first quarter of 2016 than any other three-month span since 2004, with the number of phishing websites jumping 250 percent from October 2015 to March 2016. Blacklisting alone is not working.

Swordphish was built using machine-learning technology, trained on millions of phishing, malware, and ransomware attacks to help organizations:

  • predict the maliciousness of any URL or domain
  • rank security events based upon probabilities, not signatures
  • identify and measure risk posed by zero-day attack URLs and domains
  • scale from hundreds of queries to hundreds of thousands
  • test and integrate in minutes via a REST API

“We developed Swordphish as an internal tool to enhance our ability to detect and prioritize truly critical attacks within a sea of streaming security event data,” said Daniel Ingevaldson, CTO of Easy Solutions, in a statement.

“Once we saw the power of Swordphish, we decided to make the technology available publically to support our customer’s requirements for predictive malware detection, predictive spear-phishing detection, improved security event processing efficiency and orchestration.”

The beta is now publicly available at https://www.easysol.net/swordphish/.
