6 Features Of A Document Scanner Your Healthcare IT Customer Will Love

Despite ongoing efforts to make the shift from paper to digital health records, many healthcare professionals work in environments that still create and manage large volumes of paperwork. In fact, according to a CDC study on the “Use and Characteristics of Electronic Health Record Systems Among Office-based Physician Practices” (2013), nearly half of all office-based physicians have yet to make a full switch to an electronic health records (EHR) system. The move to digital is an evolutionary process and is nearly impossible to do so at every stage of the information gathering and sorting process. Patient medical history forms, client files, and even billing documents still exist in paper form, but, with today’s scanner technology and document management systems the process can be streamlined.
