Although optimism among restaurant owners is increasing for 2011, the hospitality industry will continue to experience a slow economic recovery. PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) compliance requirements will continue to evolve, forcing the hospitality industry to change to meet these requirements as they are applied. The software and merchant processing arms of the hospitality industry will continue to try to educate, inform, and focus on these changes while helping with the adoption of the changing standards.
