Gen 2 RFID Reader Features High Flexibility With Outstanding Read Rates
GAO RFID Asset Tracking (www.GAORFIDAssetTracking.com) has released this high performance UHF Gen 2 RFID reader intended for applications requiring a large number of tags and 2 or more antennas. Using SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) to enable remote firmware management and monitoring, it is also suitable for real time status verification and modification.
This high performance 902.75 MHz to 927.25 MHz Gen 2 RFID reader, model 216004, is configured with an XScale processor, Linux OS, 64 MB RAM and 32 MB Flash memory. The RFID reader reads tags compliant with EPC Gen 2 and ISO 18000-6c standards. It operates in an autonomous mode that allows it to be activated by external triggers or timing. Users can regulate the parameters of timing, protocols, antenna usage and other elements without network latency making it a highly flexible system with outstanding read rates.
The Gen 2 UHF RFID reader offers convenient LED status indication for power, link, activity, Ant 1-3, CPU, read and fault. Up to 2500 data records can be saved into its non-volatile memory. Its power fail safes protect important data in case of power loss or LAN disconnection. Four antenna ports are provided including multi-static topology, circular or linear polarization, and reverse polarity TNC. With an IP53 protection rating, the RFID reader is resistant to dust and moisture and performs well even in harsh environments.
