7 Great Presentations You Missed At Channel Transitions Midwest

The Channel Transitions Midwest VAR/MSP Executive Conference, powered by Business Solutions magazine, October 7 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Chicago – Oak Brook, featured presentations from some of the channel’s leading experts and vendors. The event educated a diverse group of solutions providers interested in implementing or improving a recurring revenue business model.

  • Brian Sherman, CompTIA faculty member and principal consultant at Tech Success Communications, delivered a keynote address titled, “Quick Start To Managed IT Services.” He covered customer collaboration, creating the right team, partnering techniques, pricing models, and investing in growth.
     
  • Nadia Karatsoreos, community manager at GFI MAX, gave a presentation titled, “The Perpetually Valuable MSP,” which discussed core advantages of the business model.
     
  • Randy Clark, senior vice president of marketing at Mercury, spoke about having a clear transitional strategy, the importance of picking the right partners, and go-to-market opportunities. His presentation can be accessed here.
     
  • Chester Ritchie, senior vice president of strategic partnerships at Worldpay, gave a presentation titled, “Electronic Payments: A Disruptive Opportunity,” which stressed that requirements to implement new technology such as EMV can translate to opportunities for recurring revenue.
     
  • Jonathan Kos, director of business development at CloudFounders, gave a breakout session presentation called “Own Your Own Enterprise Cloud.”
     
  • Michael Wong, systems engineer at F-Secure, hosted a breakout session detailing, “Protection Service For Business.”
     
  • Kevin Jones, sales engineer at RapidFire Tools, spoke in a breakout session about, “Using IT Assessments To Get Into Managed Services & Expand Your Client Relationships.”
