ISVstore.com Empowers End-Users to Test Applications in the Cloud Before Making Purchase Decisions

Honeywell recently announced the launch of ISVstore.com, a multi-vendor site dedicated to helping end-users identify the software applications and data collection devices that best fit their business needs. Currently featuring over 100 applications developed by more than 30 independent software vendors (ISVs), ISVstore.com enables visitors to test-drive various software solutions and evaluate their performance on actual mobile computers before making purchase decisions.

"Honeywell continues to invest in technologies that support the ISV and reseller communities," said Mark Schmidt, vice president, business development, Honeywell Scanning & Mobility. "ISVstore.com is the AIDC industry's first online resource that allows businesses of all sizes to test and trial various hardware/software combinations before beginning the purchase process, similar to the iTunes online music store for music and entertainment."

ISVstore.com utilizes Honeywell's Remote MasterMind (ReM) for Mobility device management software to provide users with the opportunity to demo different software applications on real mobile computers. Unlike other online resources, ReM allows ISVstore.com visitors to "remote-in" and test solutions using live data collection devices, enabling a truly interactive experience.

"Our research indicates that the vast majority of Tier I - III global enterprises with a mobile workforce will install new applications, or upgrade existing solutions during the next three years. Yet, they have perhaps too many options to choose from," said Chris Rezendes, executive vice president, VDC Research Group. "Initiatives such as Honeywell's ISVstore.com could help make the process of identifying, prequalifying, and ultimately sourcing enterprise mobility software more efficient and effective for users and their channel partners."

Over the next few months, Honeywell will work with new and existing ISV partners to introduce additional applications on ISVstore.com that will resonate across new verticals and serve global markets. For more information, visit www.ISVstore.com.
