ImagXpress v11 Released By Accusoft

Create interactive applications with multi-touch features

Accusoft, the leading provider of document, content and imaging solutions, announces the release of ImagXpress v11, imaging SDK, with multi-touch and gesture support, patented speed optimization mode for JPEG 2000, and support for JPEG XR compression and decompression. ImagXpress continues to reduce development time by allowing developers to add imaging functionality to their applications with very few lines of code.

Using Accusoft's patented JPEG 2000 speed optimization, application developers can deliver the fastest JPEG 2000 viewing available in the marketplace. Additionally, version 11 adds the ability to open and save ISO compliant JPEG XR images.

"ImagXpress continues its long standing tradition of making application development easier and faster by providing maximum function with minimal coding required." said Steve Wilson, Director, Native Core Imaging. "Our customers continue to choose ImagXpress for its rich feature set, image viewing speed, robust dependability and ease of use."

The new ImagXpress release adds support for the multi-touch gestures used on all of the common touch-based devices for Windows 7 deployments. Customers editing digital photos at a photo kiosk in a retail store can resize or crop images using touch and gestures. ImagXpress also supports new camera types with the most recently available camera raw library. Additional features include the ability to display an embedded thumbnail of a camera raw image.

Engineers and architects can utilize the new protractor annotation (either via a mouse or touch events) to measure angles for blueprints and schematics. A complementary new feature includes annotation display on thumbnail images. Based on customer requests this new version also supports both the TWAIN 1.0 and 2.0 specs in a single component, delivered in an easy to use interface that adjusts on the fly.

Financial, insurance and legal industries rely on legacy technology (e.g. fax machines that scan documents as TIFFs) for vital communication. ImagXpress enables these users to edit these TIFF documents by moving groups of TIFF pages into any location in a document or deleting multiple TIFF pages as a group.
