Wow... as Chairman of the RSPA Board of Directors, I might be biased, but I thought INSPIRE 2013 was one of the best thought leadership summits yet, to help raise our awareness and our thinking on the topic of future growth and employee empowerment! I believe Tom Bouwer’s interactive education sessions, founded on the concept of Ownership Thinking, gave everyone in attendance some significant and exciting ideas to help improve their ability to create and deliver superior value for their customers.
We learned that Ownership Thinking isn’t a class… it’s a way of thinking. You’ll read more about Ownership Thinking and the 2013 INSPIRE education takeaways in this recap. For further follow-up, I would encourage you to consider reading Tom Bouwer’s recommendations: Danger in the Comfort Zone by Judith Bardwick, and (of course) Ownership Thinking by Brad Hams.
While we were together in Curaçao for INSPIRE, the RSPA Board of Directors also met on Sunday to discuss some association business. We then invited a number of industry members to participate in a discussion about the industry’s future. It was a very productive discussion, and we look forward to sharing some of the outcomes of that meeting.
