IronKey Introduces Online Banking Customer Success Services

New Organization to Help Banks Prevent Account Takeovers and Online Banking Fraud

IronKey, the leader in securing data and online access, is expanding its services offerings to meet growing demand from banks to help combat online banking fraud. The new Online Banking Customer Success organization will deliver services to help institutions prevent account takeovers and differentiate their online banking offerings using IronKey Trusted Access for Banking.

"We're excited about the opportunity to closely partner with banks to help stop the scourge of cybercriminals taking over online bank accounts and stealing money. With rapidly growing demand for IronKey Trusted Access, many banks are asking for help on how best to protect their clients from account takeovers and differentiate their online banking offerings for a competitive advantage," said IronKey CEO Arthur Wong. "This move will allow IronKey to bring our specialized know-how to banks and provide an immediate response to particular needs such as recommending best practices, managing new online security offerings, training, and marketing."

The new organization will be headed up by Glenn Cobb, director of professional services, who recently joined IronKey. Previously Cobb served as vice president of information systems for Tompkins Financial Corporation. Prior to that, he served as an IT architect for IBM Global Services for 10 years.

"I am delighted about the addition of Glenn to our team," said Wong. "His expertise in online banking security and IT infrastructures, and his prior experience in consulting, make him an immediate asset to our customer success practice as we seek to offer bank clients unique insights and actionable plans to prevent fraud and differentiate their banking businesses with new security products."

About IronKey Trusted Access for Banking
IronKey's Trusted Access solves a problem that until now has been out of the bank's control – the vulnerability of the client's PC to financial malware attacks such as ZeuS and SpyEye. These crimeware toolkits combine keyboard loggers, man-in-the-browser, ‘backconnect' Trojans, and DNS tampering attacks that go undetected by up-to-date anti-virus software, firewalls and other software-based security. In a period of 12 months, over 70,000 ZeuS variants were detected in the wild, with many, many more going undetected. Using these tools, criminals defeat sophisticated bank security controls including one-time passcode token authentication and dual user payment authorization. Trusted Access enables banks to protect their business clients, even if the client's own computer is infested with the worst possible malware, by isolating their online access in a safe, bank-managed environment that is independent of the PC. The solution includes the Trusted Access USB security device, which launches a protected, virtualized operating system and Web browser that only works with the IronKey Trusted Network and limits the user's online access to bank-approved sites.
