Fastest-growing endpoint security vendor joins forces with the world's largest technology distributor to better serve the market and channel partners
Kaspersky Lab, a leading developer of secure content and threat management solutions, is proud to announce a new distribution relationship for the United States with Ingram Micro Inc., the world's largest technology distributor. The relationship will allow Kaspersky Lab to drive a deeper relationship with VARs and systems integrators across the United States, and is the most recent example of Kaspersky Lab's 100-percent commitment to its channel partners.
As demand for Kaspersky Lab security technologies continues to grow in corporations and large enterprises, Ingram Micro is well positioned to support Kaspersky Lab's growth and help the Company meet the needs of even more end-users and partners. By distributing its award-winning security software through Ingram Micro, Kaspersky Lab can serve a broader range of end-users at midsize and large-enterprise organizations. This distribution relationship also creates opportunities for VARs that purchase software exclusively from Ingram Micro, and have been unable to sell Kaspersky Lab software until now.
Kaspersky Lab is the world's largest privately-held security vendor, and the fourth-largest endpoint security company according to IDC reports. Kaspersky Lab grew by 38-percent worldwide in 2010 and this torrid pace has been fueled largely by the efforts of the Company's channel partners. Acting as a true partner, Kaspersky Lab has maintained fierce loyalty to its partners, pledging to never take a sale directly. This dedication and long history of channel excellence has been recognized by independent channel organizations on numerous occasions for the value and support it provides to its partners.
Under the new agreement, the Ingram Micro Advanced Technology Division and in particular the Networking/Security Business Unit will market, sell and support Kaspersky Open Space Security, the Company's full lineup of corporate security solutions, including centrally managed mobile security applications. Kaspersky Open Space Security offers a full range of tightly integrated end-to-end protection solutions, ensuring unified protection across the entire network. The system is built to work seamlessly together – from endpoint and mobile device protection to file server, mail server, network storage and gateway protection – providing flexible centralized management, immediate threat visibility to all corners of the enterprise and a level of responsiveness not seen in other anti-malware approaches.
The line-up includes products supporting the latest versions of operating systems and applications popular among business customers, along with support for virtualization and hierarchical data storage. At the core of the system is Kaspersky Lab's enhanced centralized management system, offering convenient automated deployment, efficient monitoring, seamless updating, and simplified multi-platform management, maintenance and reporting.
"The relationship with Ingram Micro is a great opportunity for Kaspersky Lab to reach a new breadth of customers. As the largest privately-held security company in the world, and growing at a rate faster than any comparable company, we know the relationship with Ingram Micro will support our growing business needs, and our partners and customers will reap the benefits," says Steve Orenberg, CSO for Kaspersky Lab. "Ingram Micro understands Kaspersky Lab's need for flexible distribution options to supply our customers with the most comprehensive protection and we look forward to working hand-in-hand with our new partners".
