KBC Networks Announces Upgrades To Its Wireless Ethernet Range At ISC West

KBC WES3

KBC Networks, manufacturer of transmission equipment for commercial and industrial networks including CCTV, security, banking, and control systems, has announced a new development in the evolution of its wireless range.

With promises to increase product flexibility and throughput, at the same time as reducing cost, the transmission provider has launched the WES3 product series. WES3 replaces KBC’s II generation wireless series. It comes in a new compact format and with enhanced, user-selectable firmware. This means that with one common unit, users are now able to select the device configuration, as either client/station or host/AP mode. The aim is to make system installation easier and more flexible, and to reduce customers’ stock-holding and cost. Customers are now able to build a simple point-to-point wireless bridge, a more complex point-to-multipoint wireless network or mixed configurations, all with one common unit. For customers who prefer the convenience of KBC’s point-to-point kits, they will still be available as pre-programmed units for immediate installation, and the popular pre-configuration service is also available with the new systems.

Steve Kuntz, President KBC North America, commented, “With over 25 years of experience in wireless transmission, it’s incredible to think just how far the technology has moved on. We started with relatively simple 900MHz analog devices and we’re now developing products with greater flexibility, security and reliability that meet the transmission speeds demanded by today’s security systems. One thing that hasn’t changed though, is our aim to provide best-in-class technical support to our customers. All that experience has taught us that as well as great products, our customers value great support. For us, that means technical support, project layout and design services and pre-configuration options. We continue to be grateful to our many loyal customers who have used our products going back 25 years as well as our newer customers who are just discovering KBC.”

All of the KBC wireless ranges are fully compatible and all come with free design assistance and technical support. KBC also supplies a range of wireless transmission kits for point-to-point links with all the transmission required for a link in one easy-to-use package. The kits come fully configured so they pair automatically, and are available for single and multi-input links with PoE and non-PoE versions.

KBC Networks will be showing the new WES3 devices on booth 18125 at ISC West this.
