Kids Benefit From RSPA, Retail Orphan Initiative Partnership
In April 2012, representatives of the Retail Solutions Providers Association (RSPA) and Retail Orphan Initiative installed computer labs at three impoverished schools in the Dominican Republic. The schools included a home for orphaned girls who had been sex slaves, a school for deaf children, and an inner-city school surrounded by drugs, gangs, and prostitution.
This video features the RSPA/Retail Orphan Initiative segment from the July 30 general session of RetailNOW 2012, held at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. Nicole Taylor, the outgoing RSPA director of communications/marketing and the organizer of the Dominican Republic trip, introduces a touching video she produced about the effort. Greg Buzek, one of the founders of the Retail Orphan Initiative, then gives an update on RetailROI projects to the approximately 450 RetailNOW general session attendees.
