Level Platforms Expands Security And Authentication Options With AuthAnvil

LPI Level Platforms Inc., a global leader in remote monitoring and management (RMM) software for solution and managed service providers (MSPs), has teamed with Scorpion Software to bolster the security and authentication measures surrounding its award winning Managed Workplace 2011 offering.

Scorpion Software's AuthAnvil is a comprehensive, two-factor authentication solution that provides identity assurance protection. By using a combination of a PIN code and a one-time password generated with an AuthAnvil token, the solution provides clients with the same level of security that banks use to protect client accounts through the ATM system.

It also includes a logon agent capable of providing risk based strong authentication via AuthAnvil directly to the Managed Workplace 2011 console. The resulting framework addresses numerous security-related tasks, including:

• Delivers a framework for best practices in monitoring and alerts on specific authentication behaviors, including failed logons, attempted bypasses and applied overrides
• Provides deployment, monitoring and management of AuthAnvil agents in the field through the automation functionality delivered by Managed Workplace 2011
• Automates workflow to help with change management for settings and override passwords for AuthAnvil agents
• Sets changes and overrides password revisions with a single click
• Monitors for tampering of Managed Workplace software security in the field
• Includes prebuilt service monitoring to monitor and manage the health of the authentication subsystem across all client networks being controlled through Managed Workplace 2011.
