N-able Introduces Report Manager

N-able’s new Report Manager 4.1 is an optional module for the company’s N-central remote monitoring and management and MSP service automation platform. It has more than 50 ready-to-use reports based on key performance indicators (KPIs), IT infrastructure, and devices under management. It can also show the effectiveness of specific IT initiatives, investments, and priorities such as cost savings and new infrastructure. The report manager includes an executive summary report that summarizes metrics “glance-and-know” scorecard-style format. Report output types are configurable for HTML, PDF, Microsoft Excel, CSV, or even email, and can be delivered to customers via a branded format or a network share. In addition, N-able offers an archival function for storing five years or more of data. Report Manager 4.1 also comes with a new network assessment report, which offers a complete asset inventory for all devices associated with N-able’s essential and professional licenses. The Network assessment report also includes an AV report, which issues reports on the status of all customer antivirus solutions across the network — regardless of the vendor.

Autotask Presents New Performance Dashboards

Autotask has announced new performance dashboards designed to give IT solutions providers insight into their business operations. Autotask’s Performance Dashboards give instant access to company data, such as workforce efficiency statistics, customer satisfaction ratings, service level compliance, and financial performance. The dashboards include data filters that can highlight changes over time and identify trends and patterns. They also provide more than 50 preconfigured, customizable charts that can display thousands of data points to help executives make decisions about their businesses. They also feature an at-a-glance view of employee productivity, sales opportunities, and market trends. Performance dashboards are currently available to sales and opportunity management and support service desk management. Additional dashboards planned for release later this year include client reporting, financial management, and project portfolio management.

Ingram Micro To Offer dinCloud Hosted Virtual Server

dinCloud has announced an expanded distribution agreement with Ingram Micro. The agreement allows Ingram Micro to market, sell, and support dinServer, dinCloud’s hosted virtual server. dinServer simplifies the hosting of servers and applications with complete data center capabilities including security and firewalls. Customers receive an encapsulated environment with their own firewall, private virtual servers, private virtual network, and private storage. Each customer’s environment is supported with regular backups, and the hosted virtual servers have multiple layers of physical and virtual security. dinServer is available in monthly and annual subscriptions, with special promotions available to Ingram Micro partners.

HotLink Leverages Amazon For Disaster Recovery

HotLink recently introduced HotLink DR Express, a disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity (BC) solution that leverages Amazon Web Services (AWS) to protect all types of VMware vSphere virtual machines. It is a solution for VMware vCenter users to integrate data protection with day-to-day operational management of VMware Windows and Linux workloads. Within minutes of a failure, IT administrators can automatically recover to a DR/BC site within AWS. There is no need to purchase dedicated recovery hardware because resources are available on demand, at scale through AWS. With the solution, Amazon-restored virtual machines (VMs) are fully manageable by VMware vCenter, alongside on-premise VMs, and can be migrated back from AWS, whenever appropriate.

snom, Patton Partnership Offers Telephony Bundle

snom Technology and Patton Electronics are expanding their existing partnership by offering telephony bundles. The companies will sell a bundle consisting of snom’s SIP (session initiation protocol)-based VoIP phones and Patton’s SmartNode Branch eXchange (SNBX) appliance preinstalled with Windows 7 and 3CX Phone System software. The bundle is available through ABP Technology, a Dallas-based distributor specializing in IP telephony solutions. Customers also have the option of a bundle that includes VoIP routers, which prioritize voice traffic over data traffic.
