MSP Differentiates His Business With HIPAA, SMB Security, Expands Partner Program

“Security is the place to focus on now and in the future,” advises Art Gross, president and CEO of HIPAA Secure Now! “It’s not going away.” 

Gross started the managed services provider (MSP) Entegration in 2000 and a few years later, specialized in the healthcare vertical. He developed HIPAA Secure Now!, an all-in-one HIPAA security service that includes a risk assessment, training, and policy and procedure templates.

The company launched a partner program — now with about 160 partners — who offered feedback that their clients outside the healthcare vertical could benefit from a similar service. In March, Gross’ company will launch Breach Secure Now!, a general, security-based compliance service for SMBs.

As an MSP, Gross understands the service will not only benefit small to medium-sized businesses, but also his partners. “You used to be able to replace exchange servers every few years, but you lost that with the cloud. By focusing on security, you can make up some of the lost revenue.” One component of Breach Secure Now! is a risk assessment that identifies a business’s security and compliance vulnerabilities. “You have the potential to sell additional services like MDM [mobile device management] and encryption,” Gross says. “It’s easier to sell when you show people what is vulnerable.”
