Agreement with SYNNEX empowers Netsocket’s network of Value-Add Resellers to be first to market in providing a completely virtualized managed networking solution for SMB customers
Netsocket, a technology leader in virtualized, software-defined networking, announced SYNNEX Corporation, a leading distributor of IT products and services, as a master distributor for their newly announced Netsocket Virtual Edge solution. Virtual Edge is a cloud-managed virtual network specifically optimized for small to medium-sized (SMB) businesses and enterprise remote office networks. The solution provides SYNNEX’ channel of value-added resellers (VARs) and Managed Service Providers (MSPs) with an entry point into offering the full benefits of virtualized networking at the edge with a cost-effective, complete end-to-end cloud-managed virtual network.
Under terms of the agreement, Netsocket’s solutions are available through SYNNEX’ CONVERGESolv group, which provides reliable, effective, economical and secure IT infrastructure solutions for any size business. Through Netsocket’s model, resellers are able to layer services at greater margins than traditional hardware resellers and are able to deliver a virtualized edge network service that reduces management overhead and streamlines operational costs, without adding infrastructure costs.
Specifically optimized for MSPs who service enterprise and SMB LAN/WAN edge deployments, the Virtual Edge solution enables service providers to efficiently and cost-effectively deliver managed edge routing, switching, firewall and tunneling capabilities to distributed environments. With Netsocket’s Virtual Edge solution, Resellers and MSPs can now offer their SMB customers with the same large enterprise-capable routing functions and other IT services without the need for labor intensive certified engineers and costly truck-rolls associated with conventional network deployments. Once the Virtual Edge MicroCloud is installed at a customer site for managed routing services, the MSP can deploy additional value-added virtualized IT services on the same platform to enhance their value to customers for years to come.
“The market for selling Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) is exponential given the rapid adoption of cloud based services by small and medium size businesses (SMBs), but the traditional hardware deployment model is still very costly, inflexible and complex to manage by both the user and the service providers who serve them”, commented Ashar Baig, principal analyst, Analyst Connection. “Purpose built and bundled solutions for MSPs, like Netsocket’s Virtual Edge, effectively address this growing market.”
“Cloud-based solutions are dramatically changing the way IT spend is distributed, with shifts to an as-a-service model,” said Bob Stegner, Senior Vice President, Marketing, North America, SYNNEX Corporation. “Our agreement with Netsocket supports resellers and managed service providers who are ready to begin selling the benefits of virtualized networking and further expands SYNNEX’ SDN and cloud solutions to the edge of the network.”
Netsocket Virtual Partner Program
Netsocket also launched today the Netsocket Virtual Partner Program which provides resellers of its Netsocket Virtual Edge solution with a plethora of marketing and training materials as well as a pilot kit to get started. The Netsocket Virtual Partner Pilot Kit can be used as an evaluation or demonstration system. Available for a limited time only, the Pilot Kit is configured to support 2 sites and it consists of the Virtual Edge solution’s MicroCloud Servers, Switches and Netsocket Virtual Network software, as well as first year software service and support and is priced at $1700.
Fletcher Hamilton, Netsocket President and CEO added, “We are extremely pleased to be working with SYNNEX. Together we can forge ahead as innovators bringing to market the next evolution of networking by enabling resellers to be first to market with a virtualized networking solution that can virtually revolutionize their business and profitability model.”
