Intel Security has announced the release of a new email phishing tool offered as part of its new Microsoft Office 365 Channel Kit. The new channel kit helps partners assess their customers’ knowledge of and ability to identify phishing attacks and provides custom recommendations based on the results.

Since security is not always offered in transitioning to cloud-based solutions, there is a need for secure solutions and partners to advise enterprises on the best action for protecting these systems. The Microsoft blog states, “The increased adoption of cloud-based services such as Office 365 represents an enormous opportunity for you to work with our mutual customers to ensure their transition to the cloud doesn’t leave them vulnerable. By adding additional layers of McAfee Email Protection to Office 365, our customers get better protection, faster. Threat updates occurs in minutes, not hours. And the threat intelligence comes from the largest security organization in the world, tackling the most advanced malware and threats on the landscape.”

A part of the kits is the Intel Security McAfee Phishing Quiz, a sales tool that reveals phishing insights to customers and that is quickly and easily customizable for any business.

Phishing attacks trick victims into giving up personal data and can be used to help cybercriminals better target specific victims. Of the 76,000 business users that have taken the McAfee Phishing Quiz, 94 percent worldwide correctly classified all emails as legitimate or phishing. According to the SANS Institute, 95 percent of all attacks on enterprise networks result from successful spear phishing attacks. Organizations need to know that it only takes one successful phishing email to infiltrate a business’ network.

With the new phishing tool, partners can use the results to identify vulnerabilities and map to how advanced security can uniquely help combat phishing from both a technology and education reinforcement perspective.

The kit also includes a new demand generation kit that includes materials to start the conversation around shaping an effective security strategy for your customers who are transitioning their businesses to Office 365.
