New Executive Certificate In Business Agility Highlights Spring 2014 Channel Training Curriculum From CompTIA

Latest channel training catalog unveiled at CompTIA Annual Member Meeting

A program to help executives align their technology businesses with today’s market realities is one of several new educational offerings available to information technology (IT) channel companies through CompTIA, the non-profit association for the industry.

The Executive Certificate in Business Agility program is part of the CompTIA Channel Training Catalog for Spring 2014. The catalog was released here this week during the CompTIA Annual Member Meeting.

“Many market forces and evolving technology solutions are transforming the landscape,” said Kelly Ricker, senior vice president, events and education, CompTIA. “Some channel businesses are thriving in this environment, while others are struggling. The Executive Certificate in Business Agility program reveals a pathway that business owners and executives can follow to thrive on their own terms and adapt their business by choice, not by chance.”

Workshop participants will examine the factors that can lead to business change and study how companies have succeeded in adapting. Next, they’ll evaluate their own business, including market factors, opportunities, delivery capacity, operations, strategy and leadership. Finally, participants will learn how to manage a successful business transformation.

All CompTIA Executive Certificate programs are developed by leading experts from the IT industry and are delivered by CompTIA Authorized Channel Instructors. Options for self-paced, online and face-to-face learning are available.

New Workshops
Three new workshops are also part of CompTIA’s latest channel training catalog.

The Cloud-based Telephony Playbook Workshop examines how cloud computing is making voice-over-IP services both more accessible to customers and more viable as an offering for a growing number of solution providers.

The Advanced Communications Playbook Workshop covers opportunities for channel partners to deliver video conferencing, cloud-delivered applications, unified communications, collaboration and other solutions.

CompTIA’s Mobile Device Management Playbook Workshop explores how solution providers can help customers expand their use of mobile apps and technologies and manage the growing and diverse inventory of devices.

Also new are a Quick Start Guide and Quick Start Session on Profitable Partnering, which review best practices for partnering, strategic planning and business strategies; managing relationships; and more.

CompTIA channel training is just one example of how the association re-invests its resources into the IT channel.

This week CompTIA unveiled a new open access model designed to advance the IT industry and help make channel partners more successful. The new model provides registered users with no-cost access to a selection of web-based content, including Quick Start Guides. Premier members gain access to the full array of CompTIA content, plus additional benefits.
