New POS System Benefits Club — And The VAR Who Installed It

Business Solutions interviewed James Cawdron, owner of Manhattan POS for the article, “Get Your Hospitality Customers' POS Transactions Under Control.” In the article, Cawdron reveals how he upgraded Comic Strip Live’s legacy cash register system to a modern POS system. As could be expected with any such upgrade, the project led to additional benefits for the comedy club — facilitating discounts, automating its time and attendance activities, and more efficient employee scheduling and payroll processes. It also had benefits for the VAR — an additional opportunity at the club to upgrade the security system and additional prospects.

Cawdron comments that over the past two years, Manhattan POS’s revenue from hospitality POS sales was about $750,000. He says customers realizing the benefits of their new systems can help VARs find new business. “As more customers like Comic Strip Live experience the increased revenue and profitability from migrating from cash registers to POS systems, it leads to referrals and additional business opportunities — especially with other retailers in the immediate area who are familiar with the customer,” Cawdron explains.
