OKI Data Americas To Demonstrate Custom Printing Solutions And Services At The National Beer Wholesalers Association Annual Convention And Trade Show

OKI’s Broad Portfolio Meets the Unique Needs of the Manufacturing and Beverage Industry

MOUNT LAUREL, NJ OKI Data Americas announces its participation in the National Beer Wholesalers Association’s (NBWA) 76th Annual Convention and Trade Show taking place September 30 – October 1, 2013 at the Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas, NV. There in booth 1140, OKI will demonstrate its end-to-end printing solutions and services for the wholesale beverage industry, and discuss the ways in which merchandisers and distributors can reduce costs and improve procedures with on-demand printing solutions and proactive print fleet management.

Among the printing solutions being demonstrated is the new C941dn – a revolutionary LED digital color printer featuring a five station toner configuration. In addition to cyan, magenta, yellow and black, the device also supports a white or clear toner in the fifth position, delivering an expansive new world of printing capabilities. The C941dn is the first LED printer in its class to offer white or clear spot color printing together with extensive media handling capabilities.

The C941dn is part of the recently introduced Multimedia Production Platform (MPP) from OKI. The MPP is a groundbreaking new series of production-quality A3 color devices with innovative features and functionality that go far beyond traditional digital color printing and media handling capabilities. These devices print on transparent media, magnets, banners and heavyweight cardstock with ease, and all within a single, compact unit.

One of the benefits of OKI’s new MPP is the users’ ability to expand input and output capabilities with the addition of an optional EFI® Fiery® XF server, feeders, stackers and other supplemental hardware for use with certain devices. These new printers further underscore OKI’s technological leadership and ability to deliver innovative, high functioning and high quality printing solutions to an evolving marketplace.

Other printing solutions include the C711dtn from the award-winning C711 Series, and the impressive, high productivity label and point-of-sale (POS) printers – the LE840 and the PT390.

“OKI is excited to participate in one of the beverage industry’s largest and most influential events, and demonstrate our broad portfolio of customized printing solutions,” says Terry Cruikshank, Senior Marketing Manager of Industry Marketing for OKI Data Americas. “OKI understands the evolving needs of beverage distributors. Our printing solutions empower beverage distributors to deliver cost effective and customized merchandising materials.”

Following are highlights of the printing solutions being demonstrated by OKI at NBWA:

  • C941dn – The C941dn offers best in class high-definition color print quality, high volume productivity and diverse media handling abilities at a low running cost. Features include print speeds of up to 50 pages per minute1 and toner yields of up to 38,000 pages[1], delivering fast, reliable and cost-effective output. Handling a recommended monthly print volume of 25,000 pages, the C900 Series meets the needs of large, demanding workgroups, and is available with an EFI Fiery XF server.

  • C711dtn – a single function, high definition digital color printer delivering sharp detail and rich, dramatic color output at print speeds up to 34 pages per minute (ppm) color and up to 36 ppm monochrome, handling a wide-range of media from card stock to banners up to 52 inches in length.

  • PT390 – With a print speed of 300mm per second and a time-to first-print of a mere 1.9 seconds, the PT390 direct thermal POS/receipt printer is extremely fast. It is ideal for busy, time-critical environments such as retail, as well as for those applications requiring quick turnaround and high-resolution printing, like manufacturing facilities.

  • LE840 – among the fastest enterprise thermal printers in label and tag throughput, the sturdy LE840/LE850 Series printers are built with a rigid steel chassis enclosed in a durable steel cabinet for a long life span.

The NBWA is a trade association that represents the interests of the 3,300 licensed, independent beer distributors. The NBWA attendees are owners and operators of America’s largest distribution companies who make final purchase decisions.
