pcAmerica Integrates Payroll Processing with Point of Sale Packages

pcAmerica, a leading developer of retail and restaurant point of sale software, unveiled a new payroll integration in its point of sale software packages, Cash Register Express™, Restaurant Pro Express™ and Cash Register Express™-Fuel Edition.

The new payroll functions interface with Payroll City, which provides full-service, comprehensive payroll processing nationwide. The services can be tailored to meet the needs of any size business and doesn’t require any expensive upgrades or new equipment.

“Payroll is one of the most important and time-consuming responsibilities for a business owner,” said David J. Gosman, CEO of pcAmerica. “More time spent doing payroll means less time serving customers, so businesses should consider taking advantage of pcAmerica’s new payroll solution, which reduces the amount of paperwork by gathering information directly from the point of sale database.”

Using the POS terminal, business managers can easily track employees’ hours, view and modify their time punches and calculate tips or commissions.  At the end of the pay period, owners submit their payroll electronically to Payroll City to calculate overtime wages, tax withholdings, handle garnishments and automatically issue checks or direct deposit.

The integrated solution also stores job titles, wage rates and W4 information. It tracks time off, vacation and sick days and 401K matching.

“Payroll City is committed to taking the worry out of processing payroll,” stated Nichole Fox, Director of Business Development at Payroll City. “The ability to easily obtain accurate payroll data, directly from pcAmerica’s system, allows us to process payroll with little preparation time. This substantially reduces our clients’ workload and reduces the risk of payroll errors.”

Business owners and managers can access their payroll information online 24 hours a day, where they can review data or download reports, reducing the need to save hundreds of pages of documentation.

pcAmerica’s new payroll interface is available in the latest version of its point of sale software packages. A low monthly rate includes all payroll calculations, direct deposit and state and federal quarterly tax filings.
