What are the most significant trends that you think POS VARs should know about?

The most significant trends are the influence of software and hardware as a service in the POS world and how customer s are funding their purchases.

From a technology standpoint, the big trend we see is the combining of products in the all-in-one category. The implementation of the touch terminal integrated with the thermal printer has been a huge trend for Pioneer POS. Mainly due to the smaller foot print, few cables, and required power outlets. This approach also brings down the cost of shipping and makes for an easier installation

Next would be the 10-inch and 15-inch rear displays on the terminal acting as digital signage is really catching on as more software providers are giving their resellers an easy way to put suggestive sell on the screen, bigger receipt detail, or selling of ad space.
