Heartland Introduces Mobile And Online Ordering Solution For Restaurants

Heartland Payment Systems introduced a mobile and online ordering solution for restaurants of all sizes. Heartland Mobile and Online Ordering, in partnership with ToGoTechnologies, automates the ordering, reducing the manual processes of servers taking orders by phone, entering orders into a POS system, and manually processing payments. The technology used by the solution uses cloud-based customizable templates that allow Heartland to offer restaurants a branded, white-label mobile app, advanced responsive Web ordering, and a suite of reporting and analytics tools. In addition, options including takeout, delivery, curbside pickup, catering, order from the table, and gift and loyalty are built in.

Datacap Systems Adds Support For Voltage Security P2PE

Datacap has integrated Voltage SecureData Payments point-to-point encryption (P2PE) solution with its retail payment interfaces. Support of this solution enables merchants that use one of Datacap’s independent software vendor (ISV) partners to maintain complete separation of cardholder data from their integrated POS application environment. Voltage SecureData Payments uses format-preserving encryption so the protected value has the same format as the original. The Datacap solution transmits the sensitive data, fully encrypted, to the Voltage payment processing partner where it can be safely decrypted for authorization.

Harbortouch Introduces New POS System Design, Shorter Service Agreement Term, And Mobile App

Harbortouch has unveiled Harbortouch Echo, a built-for-purpose POS system that combines the functionality of a traditional POS system with the design of a tablet-based system. It has an all-in-one design, 13.3-inch screen, and swivel base. The company has also redesigned its flagship Harbortouch Elite system with a thinner profile and improved performance over its predecessor. It features a 15-inch screen and three software options: hospitality, retail, and QSR and delivery. Both models use hybrid cloud technology to provide functions including real-time reporting and redundant backup. In addition, merchants can use HTNET, Harbortouch’s proprietary networking technology that creates an encrypted wireless network at the business’ location.

Following the release of Echo, the company reduced the length of the service agreement term for its flagship free POS program from five years to three years. The cost will remain at $69 per month. There are no up-front costs for the hardware, software, installation, or training. In addition, the company announced the availability of the Perkwave mobile app that uses Apple Pay technology. It enables restaurant customers to pay at the table, a requirement of forthcoming EMV acceptance regulations. The app also includes built-in loyalty and rewards functionality.

Intel Releases Data Protection Technology For Transactions

Intel has introduced its new Data Protection Technology for Transactions, the industry’s first solution that provides end-to-end encryption of consumer and financial data built directly into POS platforms. The solution’s security architecture separates transaction processing from the POS — making that data less accessible. The solution also assists in closing gaps in data transmission between POS devices and data centers. It works with EMV credit card authorizations, tokenization, and other data protection technologies.

VeriFone Adds Loyalty Solution At Point Of Sale

VeriFone Systems and Elavon, a wholly owned subsidiary of U.S. Bancorp and a payments provider, announced that Elavon’s new Fanfare loyalty solution for small to midsize customers is now available on VeriFone’s countertop payment terminals and PIN pads. Verifone’s EMV- and NFC (near-field communication)-enabled terminals and pads — the VX 520 and VX 820 — integrate with Fanfare allowing customers to enroll in the loyalty program and track and redeem loyalty points at the POS. Consumers can also enroll in the program and track loyalty points through the Fanfare website.

Aldelo POS Cloud Sync Is Now Available

Aldelo, a provider of POS software solutions for the hospitality industry, has released Aldelo POS Cloud Sync that allows for communication between Aldelo POS and the Aldelo Cloud Back Office site. This allows users to choose to have their back office operations located at the store or from another location. Features of this new synchronization tool include multiple secure logins to the Aldelo POS Cloud site, a manager dashboard with graphical reports, scheduled synchronization with sync times as often as 1 minute, and automatic push down capability from Aldelo POS Cloud to Aldelo POS.

Powa Technologies Helps ISVs Access Payment Processors

Powa Technologies has integrated with Datacap Systems’ IPTran LT Mobile and PaymentsDrawer product line for mobile POS. This provides ISVs working in the payments industry with access to virtually all payment processors in North America via one interface with the PowaPOS T-series POS solution.
